Corsair Harpoon RGB Pro Gaming Mouse Review

Adammunns.com – Corsair Harpoon RGB Pro Best Gaming Mouse. Corsair generally releases very nice mice, even their budget ones.

Corsair Harpoon RGB Gaming Mouse is one of Corsair’s products that is dubbed as a well-performing budget mouse with a nice feel in it.

This mouse can be obtained with $30 out of our pocket, much less than we would pay for a good gaming mouse. It is an RGB mouse, which means that there is a certain section on the device that lights up in RGB (red, green, blue) colors.

Corsair Harpoon RGB Mouse picks up PMW3320 as its sensor with a maximum DPI of six thousand. Its shape is contoured with the side part made of rubber that makes it comfortable to grip for a long time.

It is by no means perfect, but it is quite nice looking as a budget mouse, and also often said that its performance is the best in its own price range.

This article will look deeper into the features and the performance of the Corsair Harpoon RGB Mouse.

Features Corsair Harpoon RGB Gaming Mouse.

Corsair Harpoon RGB Mouse features an RGB zone on the front of it. The design is pretty classic, nothing too fancy that we would probably see in a lot of gaming mice nowadays.

No feature is extraordinary or any button that makes us wonder what would this do if we push it, just a simple and nice-looking mouse with a total of six buttons.

By default, these buttons do what they are supposed to do although they are all configurable and customizable in the software.

There is only one RGB zone that we can find in the entire body of the mouse, located on the Corsair logo. We can easily configure the colors using the software provided by Corsair for their mice.

On the top part, there is a DPI button, which unfortunately makes us cycle through the DPIs rather than having two buttons that let us move up and down the setting.

Unfortunately, the wire on Corsair Harpoon RGB Mouse is not braided, which is probably a common feature of a budget mouse.

Performance Corsair Harpoon

Corsair Harpoon RGB Mouse is built excellently, and we can use it wired or wirelessly according to our preference.

It is fully compatible with our device whether we use mac OS or Windows, and is comfortable to use whether our style of gripping the mouse is by using claw grip, fingertip grip, or palm grip.

The scroll wheel works really nice feel good in our hand and are very responsive.

On the left side, it got two buttons: forward and backward buttons which we can easily customize using the software if we want them to do something differently.

One of the most noticeable characters of this device is that it weighs very little. In fact, it is one of those light mice with only around 85 grams in weight.

This is an advantage as a gaming mouse since it can be very agile and easier to use to do flick shots in gaming.

Many people are more used to heavier mice, but they can even get used to this mouse very quickly since it is not that kind of weightless that feels unsettling.

We can easily tell that this mouse has a good quality build since the left and right clicks perform really nicely.

It will not wear down very quickly even if we do thousands or even millions of clicks using it. It has a very low click latency, which means that we will likely find this mouse very responsive.

Corsair Harpoon RGB Mouse also uses Corsair iCUE software which has been around for quite some time. It is not the simplest software and maybe we will find that our arrangement doesn’t hold.

But it is not because the software doesn’t work, since usually, it is because there are things that are hard to understand in the software.

This mouse doesn’t have on-board memory so it will lose all the settings we set up when we change our computers. But the iCUE software allows us to sync up our mice if we do have several Corsair mice to set.

Overall, this is a good mouse with nice responsiveness and features.

But, if we look into it a little deeper we will find out that there are some things that do feel cheap as it is a budget mouse.

The material does feel more fragile compared to more expensive mice with a solid and robust appearance.

And the secondary buttons (the DPI, forward, and backward buttons) are made of cheaper materials compared to the primary buttons.

However, the left and right-click buttons, the scroll wheel, and the sensor itself do work very well so if you don’t mind getting that kind of downgrade then Corsair Harpoon RGB Mouse is made exactly for you.
